Chapter one
The Five Stages
IThe Exit
You left the script. A school, a job, or just the version of you that was waiting for permission. No network, no capital, no proof it would work. For the first time, the direction was yours.
IIThe Obsession
No one assigns the reading. You do it anyway. Books, manuals, cold calls, experiments, questions nobody asked you to answer. From the outside it looks like nothing. Inside, you are becoming useful.
IIIThe Forge
The first attempt fails. Then another one. Someone says no, then someone else does. This is where knowing a thing turns into being able to make it work. Failure stops meaning quit. It becomes information.
IVThe Proof
Then, slowly, you get good. People call you, instead of the other way around. The work repeats. The skill compounds. Nobody asks why you took the other road. The results explain it.
VThe Wealthy Dropout
You own your time. You own pieces of what you build. You can walk away from what you do not respect. You still study, because curiosity survived success, and you teach the ones coming up behind you. The dropout becomes the institution.
Chapter two
The ten laws
01No permission required.
There is no admissions office. The work starts anyway.
02Never confuse school with learning.
Credentials have value. Capability is the point.
03Reality is the exam.
It gets built, sold and shipped. Then the world grades it.
04Take the no. Find another door.
The answer is respected. The ambition stays.
05Pay the tuition.
Losses cost. The lesson is what was bought. It is not bought twice.
06Master a craft.
Quiet confidence is earned in the work.
07Want the good life.
Taste, money, access, time. Wanted without pretending.
08Own what you build.
Equity, and the responsibility that comes with it.
09Keep your word.
A reputation is every promise, added up.
10Graduate on your terms.
No ceremony. A life that was chosen, and a reason to keep learning.
